She got a driver's license somehow 60 years ago in another state. She changed the driver's license name when she got married but never changed her name on the social security card. Now she can't get a copy of her marriage certificate because those old records are only available in person and she's not really ever been interested in voting so she doesn't want to bother with the trip. This means that she can't get a current SC driver's license or ID card so she's not allowed to vote here. But her old license, credit cards, etc. are all available to show ID.
