Social Security COLA is projected to be 2.5% for 2025, the smallest since 2021!

A 2.5% COLA would boost the average monthly Social Security benefit by $48, according to TSCL's analysis!

The annual cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for Social Security for 2025 is projected to be the smallest since 2021 amid cooling inflation.

The annual COLA, which boosts beneficiaries' monthly benefits to account for inflation, is determined using the average inflation rate over July, August, and September in comparison to the prior year as measured by the Labor Department's Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) in its monthly consumer price index (CPI) reports.

An estimate by The Senior Citizens League (TSCL) projects that based on its projection of September's inflation, which will be announced by the Labor Department next month, the COLA for 2025 will be 2.5%. Inflation fell to 2.5% year over year through August.

CEO of JPMorgan warns US of economic fate worse than recession: 'The worst outcome'!

JPMorgan Chase CEO has laid out the "worst outcome" for America's economic future, beyond recession.

"The worst outcome is stagflation," said Dimon. "And by the way, I wouldn't take it off the table."

Car affordability concerns won’t go away anytime soon, the data shows!

Consumers could be in for more sticker shock!

A recent report from auto shopping guide Edmunds points to a notable disconnect between what car buyers plan to spend on their next vehicle versus the average prices for new and used vehicles on dealership lots today.

Edmunds found that 73% of consumers report that they have held off purchasing their next vehicle because of elevated prices, which have surged since the pandemic due to supply chain issues and low inventory.

Nearly half of new car shoppers (48%) surveyed in the study said they would like to spend $35,000 or less on their next vehicle, and 14% said they’d like to spend $20,000 or less.
