States’ rights don’t apply if they violate the constitution.  Specifically the 5th amendment in this case.  No person shall be deprived of life, liberty or property without due process of law.  The rogue court imposing a penalty on a citizen without due process certainly violates that provision, doesn’t it, Vit?
