Bluebird babies

How sweet!  We have lots of nests up in the trees, and I occasionally find pieces of robin's eggs, but we haven't spied any babies yet.

Very nice, I hope they all survive. I had 4 bluebird houses on fence posts at the 4 corners of my yard which they used to use but they have gone unoccupied the last 2 years. I know the reason for one because there was a shed snakeskin in it. I then cleaned out the pine needle nests from all 4 but no birds have come back.

time of the year to clean out the abandoned nests in the trees and bushes.  we have a purple martin house at the corner of the property.  seen plenty of cardinals in the yard.  but the sparrows are a pain.  they start chirping at 4am.

These babies are gone now.   Both houses were hosed down and I already have another bluebird couple checking out the houses again.
