sun... we don't have a Costco here... are you kidding... ma and pa...or walmart... not even close by... Akron I notice has a lot of stores... but who can afford to drive that far... I could get it cheaper if I had them shipped here FedEX...We have a Giant Eagle but I'm not sure they don't charge you to go in... the last time I went... I ran out of there so fast... it was funny...really... I couldn't afford anything in that store... 1000% more than anyplace I've ever shopped...

I want some of those blueberries so bad now... I can go and get some overprocessed package of cupcakes but for some reason... it's not the same....

I may grow some here one day...

You are right takn - that recipe is so adaptable.  I have made it with cranberries and a little orange peel instead of blueberries, and plain old raisins or currants works as well too when there are no berries around.

Aesop - when you get that French maid you are looking for she can probably teach you some culinary arts as well

Question on your scones emily...

When you pat them down, about how thick are they before cutting?  1", 1/2"?  And you use only the cream of tartar, no baking soda or powder?

OMG TAKN...............I am so sorry.  I went back to my recipe and found I had left out the 2 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder!!!!  I didn't leave it out when I made them and I really hope that you haven't made them yet.

I patted the dough down to about one inch thick or less as they really do rise (especially when you put the bp in!!)
