True, aesop.  I heard of a tenant who wanted an outlet at a particular place in a room.  She punched a hole in the wall to access an outlet in the next room via extension cord.

I hate to admit this...lol.... but I  once drilled a hole big enough for a phone line and connected it with a splitter on the other side of wall. It was behind a chest of drawers so  no one would ever know. I have the real thing now.
