Truck Drivers MUST be vaxxed AND wear a mask while in the truck of their employer, even if they are alone & even on their sleep breaks.

Same goes for Taxi Drivers, Lyft and Uber.

The Police are ordered to ticket anyone they see in those situations without a mask.

So, on top of all the other things they need to be concerned with, the Police must keep an eye out for un-masked Drivers of
   Commercial Vehicles.

It used to be that one could only be maskless in their own home and in a vehicle when alone.

NOW, everyone must be masked when non-Family Members visit or ride with non-Family Members or on-the-job.

Protesters climbed on the cenotaph at the National War Memorial as well as danced on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, new video shows.

New video shot Saturday emerged after the chief of the defence staff said he was "sickened" to see video of people dancing on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier during the "Freedom Convoy" protest in downtown Ottawa.

CTV News Ottawa received video showing someone standing on the Cenotaph placing a sign and a Quebec flag on the monument at night.

Earlier in the day Saturday, video on Twitter showed an individual jumping on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the National War Memorial, yelling, "Freedom."  The incident was filmed as thousands of people gathered in downtown Ottawa to protest COVID-19 vaccine mandates and other public health restrictions.

Conservative Party leader Erin O'Toole issued a statement on Twitter about the incidents at the Terry Fox statue and the National War Memorial during Saturday's demonstrations.

"I support the right to peacefully protest but that should not be confused with blatant disrespect for the men and women who have served, inspired, and protected our country," said O'Toole Saturday evening.

"The individuals desecrating these memorials should be ashamed and their behaviour undermines the brave Canadians who have sacrificed for our country."

No paramedics were hurt following an incident on Parliament Hill where rocks were thrown at an Ottawa ambulance vehicle during the third day of the “Freedom Convoy” protest.

Darryl Wilton, president of the Ottawa Paramedic Association, confirmed the news to CityNews on Monday, January 31, adding that one of their paramedics had also been subjected to anti-Asian racial slurs during the same incident as he checked on the status of the vehicle.

Over the weekend, clients and staff of the Shepherds of Good Hope were on the receiving end of intimidation tactics when groups had demanded food from the kitchen.

Ottawa police said they are also investigating several cases of disruptive, inappropriate, and threatening behaviour from demonstrators.

Officials in Quebec have dumped plans to put a harsh tax on the unvaccinated in the wake of the Freedom Convoy of Canadian truckers.
On Tuesday, Quebec Premier François Legault said that his government would not go ahead with the attack on unvaccinated citizens to protect “social cohesion” in the province, according to the CBC (https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/vax-tax-nixed-1.6334828).

The CBC added:

The tax, first announced in January by the premier, would have imposed a monetary penalty on Quebecers who are eligible but who refuse to get their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Legault says while his government has a bill ready to go, he’s decided not to table it after seeing “growing discontent” in the population.
“I understand that this divides Quebecers and right now we need to build bridges,” said Legault. “My role is to try to bring Quebecers together to stay united as a people.”

Still, Legault denied that he was backing down due to demands by organizers of a protest planned for Thursday in Quebec City. He said he had already begun to have discussions “last week” about scrapping the tax.
