I just read that on the local news...May Greg Lake rest in peace...

Does anyone remember when they did a version of "Fanfare for the Common Man"?  That was epic...

One of my favorites...

Oh that song takes me back. My older brother introduced me to this band, one of his favorites.

You have quite a talent, Sunshine!! You've captured it with striking detail.
That's right -- we've seen some some of your drawings, paintings and artwork that you've posted.

How is the sunflower ... table? And a dresser I think you did a special process with. Can't remember what it's called now...

EL&P were very "trippy" way back in the day
somehow "lucky man" still strikes a chord

sunshine...you are an artistic golden nugget

"Lucky Man"

<!-- Usage of azlyrics.com content by any third-party lyrics provider is prohibited by our licensing agreement. Sorry about that. -->He had white horses
And ladies by the score
All dressed in satin
And waiting by the door

Ooooh, what a lucky man he was
Ooooh, what a lucky man he was

White lace and feathers
They made up his bed
A gold covered mattress
On which he was led

Ooooh, what a lucky man he was
Ooooh, what a lucky man he was

He went to fight wars
For his country and his king
Of his honor and his glory
The people would sing

Ooooh, what a lucky man he was
Ooooh, what a lucky man he was

A bullet had found him
His blood ran as he cried
No money could save him
So he laid down and he died

Ooooh, what a lucky man he was
Ooooh, what a lucky man he was

Thank you....pacifica...I painted the cabinet turquoise...then I deco-paged (not sure how to spell that) my flowers I grew at my last house and photographed. Then I wiped an antique type rub all over it to age it.

I wish I would start painting again...some day I will. I have not picked up a brush other than for that table since the 70's.  (http://www.aesopsretreat.com/forum/Smileys/classic/rolleyes.gif)

Lucky Man was my favorite!

That's it! Deco~page...Just looked it up. Decoupage! I googled it, didn't know the spelling either. And I'd forgotten those were photos of YOUR flowers you grew from your garden, Sunshine, that's right!!!LOL That's got to be my favorite, this cabinet of yours.

I did take an art class in high school once and I do remember the lessons on shades and lights....and the ability to paint what you are actually seeing. Even better, to know the way light and shadows work; stuff like that. Don't recall I saved anything I painted or drew ha! My talents must live in other places:x not sure where.

I used to watch that guy on tv who painted the nature scenes...the one with the reddish fro; assume he was shown all across the country on the public stations. I recall he used to start in the background, the sky first...

I still have my paint box with oils and acrylics, brushes etc from 1969.....probably hard as a rock in the tubes but still saved it all almost 40 years.
